About Memory Foam Mattress
Viscoelastic foams, commonly known as memory foams, were invented by NASA in 1966. These foams are made of petroleum-based polyurethane along with other chemicals. Memory foams are now being used in mattresses, pillows, and other products. Memory foam mattresses are useful in preventing health problems that occur due to lack of sleep. These mattresses provide users with pressure point relief, and reduce back pain and soreness. They are effective in preventing sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless legs syndrome.
The introduction of innovative memory foams, such as the gel-based memory foam introduced by Serta in 2011, has increased the demand for these mattresses in the US. Tempur Sealy, the leader in this market, continues to introduce new designs and collections worldwide.
