Areca Nuts, also known as betel nut or supari, is the seed obtained from the areca palm. Areca nuts are an important commercial fruit in Southeast Asia. There are two varieties of areca nuts available on the market. These include the red areca nut and the white areca nut. While red areca nut is obtained from green areca nut, white areca nut is produced from ripe Areca Nuts. In addition, it is also used as a domestic ingredient for the preparation of the pan.
