“Chaya is a true gem in the recruiting world. I have never worked with someone like her before coming to Movable Ink. She is incredibly well versed in all things related to recruiting. Her passion for not only making sure the organization has the right people, but that the job is right for the person is nothing short of amazing. She was clear every step of the way of the recruiting process and often delivering great news way before it was even promised. She is such a hard worker and always available for anything anyone needs. Endless questions, she always gets you the answers. She will be the most valuable asset you can have! Thank you for your hard work and thank you for everything. ”

How can you conduct reference checks to avoid volunteers who are not a good fit?
With any references, you are doing it to confirm things you already learned about the volunteer or candidate. You can also use this to check things you aren't sure about the candidate. Choosing the correct references will provide deeper insight into who the person is on an interpersonal level, abilities, and skills. You want to ensure you are asking the right questions and that you are verifying important details.

What are the best ways to bounce back after being passed over for a promotion?
Being passed over for a promotion can be very frustrating & disappointing. It also presents an opportunity for growth & self-reflection. Engage with your manager or stakeholders to understand the areas of improvement. Questions such as "How can I improve my performance?" & "What specific skills, experiences, or qualifications do I need to advance?" can guide your conversation. Utilize the feedback you receive to develop a targeted improvement plan. If feedback is lacking, consider exploring other opportunities. Throughout this process, maintain professionalism & a positive attitude. Setbacks are a natural part of any career journey, & this experience is just a temporary obstacle.
